For the first time in school history the men's cross country team captured the Region III title on Saturday in Canandaigua. Both Broome and Hudson Valley came in with 65 points apiece but the tiebreaker went to Broome.
The Hornets placed three runners in the top ten, earning them All-Region honors. Jeremy Hall finished in the 3rd spot with a time of 28:26.41, followed by Eric Repp with a time of 28:52.14 good enough for 4th and Eaan Hackett coming in at the 9th position with a time of 29:41.37. Luke DeHart and Mark Inzhirov came in just seconds apart, the former at 32:26.87 and the latter at 32:31.44.
Coach Thomas Carter was named the 2019 Region III Coach of the Year.
