Softball was swept at home this afternoon by Monroe CC at the BAGSAI Softball Complex by scores of 14-0 and 8-0.
In game one Monroe came out firing totaling 15 hits. Broome was held in check by Monroe with a combination of good pitching and stellar defense only managing 5 base runners.
In game two Monroe came out in the top of the first and put together 5 hits to take a 4-0 lead and the Hornets never recovered. The lone base runner for the Hornets this game was Karisa Sheriff who went 1 for 2 with a single to right center in the 4th inning.
