Broome committed 5 errors in game one to help Cayuga secure a 5-2 victory, 4 of those runs being unearned.  In the first inning Desiree Parry led off with a single then stole second base. Mindy Fisher hit a hard shot thru the right side to score Parry from second.  In the 6th the Hornets cut the lead to 3-2 when Amanda Finch doubled and was driven in by a Rheagan Fischette single up the middle. In the bottom of the inning Cayuga used three Hornet errors to make the score 5-2 and put it out of reach for the Hornets. Allison Chase hit a two run homerun for Cayuga.

In game two, Broome found themselves in an early deficit trailing the host team 6-0 after three innings, highlighted by another Chase homerun. The Hornets finally got on the board in the fourth when Sierra Butlet hit a bloop single into left which scored Shelby Pettersen from second. In the fifth Karisa Sheriff lead off the inning with a double to the wall that just missed going out.Then consecutive singles by Finch, Pettersen, Justina Ellis, and Kourtney Doupe cut the lead to 6-5.  With one out in the 6th Karissa Sheriff didn't miss this time and took the ball deep over the center field fence for a game tying homerun. Fisher then doubled to right center to put the go ahead run on second base followed by Finch's single down the right field line for the game winning hit.The Hornets held Cayuga in the top of the seventh for th 7-6 win.The Hornets avoided a sweep on Wednesday against MSAC opponent Cayuga CC by winning game two 7-6, the Spartans won game one 5-2.
