The Herkimer Generals lived up to their reputation on Saturday by defeating Broome in convincing fashion, 19-0 in game one and 14-0 in game two. Miranda Groover (Susquehanna, PA/Susquehanna) spoiled a no-hitter for the Generals' Casey Boltersdorf in game one, Groover was able to beat out a grounder to the left side of the field for the only hit the Hornets had.

In game two, Broome didn't fare much better, reaching base just three times. Ailnairis Belefanti (Curacao / Juan Pablo Duarte) reached base twice, walking once and beating out a grounder. Paige Finch (Kirkwood, NY/Susquehanna Valley) singled for the other hit.

Both games went five innings, and Riley Smith (Bainbridge, NY/Bainbridge-Guilford) took the loss for both. Broome heads back out on the road this Tuesday for a doubleheader against Cayuga CC in Auburn beginning at 3:00 P.M.
