Softball Splits Doubleheader In Hudson

The Hornets exploded in extra innings to win game one 20-12 against Columbia-Greene CC on Tuesday, but fell 7-4 in game two after being called due to darkness.  Broome trailed Columbia-Greene going into the top of the seventh inning 10-4, the Hornets rallied for 7 runs to take an 11-10 lead before the Twins tied it at 11-11 to send the game into extra innings.  Once again the Broome bats responded for another big inning to put the game out of reach, scoring 9 runs for the win.

Game two was called due to darkness with the Twins on top 7-4 after six innings of play.

Broome returns home on Thursday for a doubleheader against Onondaga CC with game one beginning at 3:00 P.M.
