Broome player hitting the ball
vs Onondaga

Broome fell to Onondaga CC on Thursday afternoon at BAGSAI by scores of 7-3 in game one, and 13-2 in game two.  Game one saw the Hornets come within two after McKenna Wheaton's 3-run blast to center field to make it 5-3 in the bottom of the third inning but that would be as close as Broome would get in the contest.  Mikayla Garbarino led the way with three hits, one of them a double, followed by Laurel Pernesky-Currier and Wheaton with two hits apiece.

Game two remained within striking distance after three innings with the Lazers leading 4-2 but nine Lazer runs over the next two innings ended any hopes the Hornets had of staying in the game.  Garbarino, Taylor Voorhis and Saralyn Lee led the way with two hits each, including doubles from Voorhis and Lee.

Broome will host Finger Lakes CC at 1:00 P.M. and 3:00 P.M. this Saturday at the BAGSAI Softball Complex in a MSAC doubleheader.
