The softball team swept Finger Lakes CC on Thursday by scores of 10-2 in game one, and 10-6 in game two, in their last home doubleheader of the season.  Broome recognized four players for their efforts over the past two years.  Taylor Voorhis (Windsor), Alea Tiffany (Deposit), Madison Lapinski (Owego Free Academy) and Mikayla Garbarino (Maine-Endwell) were all honored before the start of the games.  The first game ended in five innings when the Hornets scored three runs in the second, three more in the third and four in the bottom of the fifth to end the game.  Courtney George and Abby Mancini led Broome with two hits each.  Garbarino, Mancini, Voorhis and Laurel Pernesky-Currier drove in two runs apiece while George and McKenna Wheaton chipped in with an RBI to round out the scoring.

Game two saw the Lakers jump out to a 2-1 lead after one but the Hornets responded with six runs in the second inning and never looked back.  George and Tiffany picked up two hits each to lead the Broome bats.  One of George's hits was of the three-bag variety, and doubles were had by Tiffany, Garbarino and Pernesky-Currier.

Broome travels to Rochester this Saturday for their final games of the regular season against Monroe CC scheduled to begin at 1:00 P.M. and 3:00 P.M.
