The women's basketball team lost a Region III game on Saturday afternoon at Herkimer County CC. The Hornets were down by 16 points after the first half and closed the gap to eight points before the Generals went on a run behind three of Emma Redferd's five 3-pointers. Randi Conway (Bainbridge-Guilford/Bainbridge, NY) led SUNY Broome with 16 points and Bethany Atwood (Whitney Point/Whitney Point, NY) chipped in with 10 points.
Up next for the Hornets is a 1:00 p.m. game against Mohawk Valley in Utica, NY Sunday afternoon.
