The women's basketball team held a ten point lead going into the half but could not hold on to the lead and lost 62-47 to visiting Hudson Valley CC on Saturday afternoon in the Baldwin Gym. Kate Bigart (Chenango Valley/Binghamton, NY) led the Hornets with 13 points, while Randi Conway (Bainbridge-Guilford/Bainbridge, NY) posted a double double with 12 points and 11 rebounds and Dani Conway (Bainbridge-Guilford/Bainbridge, NY) added 9 points. The Hornets led 30-20 at halftime but were outscored 42-17 in the secondhalf. Samantha Tomeck scored 23 points to lead the Vikings.
The Hornets travel to Watertown, NY to start MSAC play against Jefferson CC on Tuesday for a 6:00 p.m. tipoff.
