The women's basketball team held on for the 63-59 victory over Cayuga CC Thursday night in Auburn, NY. The Hornets went into halftime with a 37-29 lead over the Spartans but Cayuga quickly cut into that lead to start the second half. Danielle Conway (Bainbridge-Guilford/Bainbridge, NY) led all scorers with 25 points and grabbed 10 boards. Bethany Atwood (Whitney Point/Whitney Point, NY) returned to the lineup with a collegiate high 17 points including 5-6 shooting from the 3-point line. Randi Conway (Bainbridge-Guilford/Bainbridge, NY) added 16 points in the winning effort.
The Hornets return to the Baldwin Gymnasium this Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. non-conference game against Davis College.
