Women Fall In Conference Opener

The women's basketball team fell to Finger Lakes CC 62-52 at home Thursday night in their MSAC opener. The Hornets and Lakers were tied at 11 after the first quarter and went into the half with the Lakers up 25-23. The difference in the game was a 20-12 third quarter by the the visitors led by the Lakers 3-point shooting of Shelby Dugan and Krystal Hunter.

SUNY Broome was led by Lucille Dellos (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) with 22 points, 18 of those in the second half and Chandler Prouty (Oneonta, NY/Milford) with 11 points and 12 rebounds. In her first collegiate start Annie Tokos (Vestal, NY/Vestal) had 3 assists to go along with 4 points.

Up next is another MSAC contest at home this Saturday against Tompkins Cortland CC scheduled to tip off at 1:00 p.m. in the Baldwin Gym.
