The women's basketball team earned a Region III win 58-44 over Hudson Valley CC in a rare Sunday afternoon game played in the Baldwin Gym. The Hornets held the Vikings to 14 first-half points and went into the half up 28-14. Lucille Dellos (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) led all scorers with 25 points. Dellos hit a collegiate best seven 3-pointers, three of them in the 4th quarter answering any runs Hudson Valley attempted. Destynie Jackson led the Vikings with 14 points, 12 of those points coming from beyond arc.

Dellos also had 4 assists and teammate Maddie Blackman (Conklin, NY/Susquehanna Valley) had another double-double scoring 15 points and grabbing 13 boards. Chandler Prouty (Oneonta, NY/Milford) added 7 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in the winning effort.

On Wednesday the Hornets will travel to Canandaigua, NY for a 5:30 p.m. MSAC game against the Lakers from Finger Lakes CC.
