Women Fall In Plattsburgh

A strong first quarter by Clinton CC in Plattsburgh on Sunday afternoon led to a 76-68 win over the visiting Hornets. Cold shooting and costly turnovers by Broome, and 9 points by the Cougars' Tori Trim allowed for a 20-7 first quarter lead for the host team. The slow start proved to be costly, from that point forward the Hornets outscored the Cougars 61-56. Broome would cut the lead to 4 points several times in the latter stages of the fourth quarter but could draw no closer than that.

Ana Farahane led all scorers with 24 points, Sam Acuna scored a collegiate-high 21 points and Yanika Francis chipped in with 8 points. Farahane also had 10 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season, along with 6 steals. Jeanna Manning led Clinton with 21 points.

The Hornets are off for the Thanksgiving Holiday and will return to action December 1st for a game in Johnson City against Davis College, tip-off at 5:00 p.m.
