Women Fall In Johnson City

The women's basketball team fell to Davis College 66-46 Thursday evening in the Robb Activity Center in a non-conference game. The Falcons got out to an early lead in the 1st quarter behind the 10-points offered up by Jamie Brown, 6 of those points coming from beyond the arc. The 2nd quarter would be much of the same with the visitors scoring only 4 points and went into the half down 40-12. The second half saw a marked improvement by Broome but the 28 point first half deficit was to much to overcome.

The Hornets saw three players reach double digits led by Ana Farahane with 12 points. Graci Standish-Warpus and Courtney Petticoffer added 11 and 10 points respectively. Petticoffer had 8 boards and 2 steals to compliment her 10 points while Farahane also had 8 boards and 4 assists to round out her game. The Falcons aslo saw three players in double figures led by Brown with 17 points.

The Hornets get back into Region III action this Saturday against Herkimer College at 1:00 p.m. in the Baldwin Gymnasium.
