A late rally by the Hornets fell short, losing a MSAC game against Jefferson CC 53-45 in Watertown on Monday evening. Broome cut into Jefferson's 16 point lead in the fourth quarter and came within 6 points, 48-42 before the Cannoneers' Mikayla Horton hit a wide open 3-pointer at the 2:31 mark. Courtney Petticoffer led all scorers with 16 points, and added 10 boards and 2 blocks. Ana Farahane chipped in with 10 points, 6 assists, 2 steals and 1 block for the Hornets. Kali Eyles led the Cannoneers with 13 points.

Broome heads up I81 on Wednesday for a 6:00 p.m. game against Onondaga CC.
