SUNY Broome freshman point guard, Ana Farahane, was named to the MSAC All-Conference Team and 2nd Team All-Region for her efforts during the 2016-17 season. Farahane finished second in the MSAC in scoring, rebounding and FT%, posting 18.0 ppg, 10.1 rpg and shot 77.5% from the charity stripe.
In Region III Ana was first in 3-point shooting percentage at 44.6%, third in FT% at 78.6%, fifth in scoring at 17.4 ppg and seventh in rebounding at 9.4 rpg.
The co-captain led the Hornets all season long with some big games but none bigger than her game on January 19th when she scored a career high 39 points, added 13 rebounds, went 6-6 from the arc, 7-7 from the FT line and hit 13 of her 17 shots.
Voting for the MSAC Team is done by the coaches from the seven colleges that make up the conference. Voting for the All-Region Team is done by the coaches from the sixteen different Region III colleges.
