The women's basketball team traveled to Utica on Wednesday evening to take on the NJCAA's top ranked Mohawk Valley Hawks and fell 86-44.  Clyneia Willard got the Hornets off to a good start as she hit a deep 3-pointer on their first possession of the contest.  Broome was able to stay within striking distance for the most of the first half before back to back 3-pointers gave the Hawks the separation they needed going into halftime.

Julianna Mushalla led Broome with 14 points and 6 assists, Willard added 10 points and 2 blocks, Airin Rynearson had 9 points and 6 rebounds and Abigail Hunt came off the bench for 6 points. Hunt's points came by way of the three-ball, the first coming 3 seconds after checking in and the second less than a minute later.

Broome returns home Friday night for a 6:00 P.M. game against SUNY Adirondack.
