Comeback Bid Falls Short For Hornets

The women's basketball team fell short in their comeback bid and fell to Cayuga CC 47-43 Thursday night in Auburn.  The Hornets and Spartans went into halftime tied at 26-26 before the host team came out in the third quarter and outscored Broome, 13-9, the difference in the game. 

Julianna Mushalla had a double-double while leading all scorers with 21 points to go with her 10 boards, Kasey Krewson added 7 points, 10 rebounds and 6 blocks, and Abigail Hunt chipped in with 6 points.  Gabby Bell led the Spartans with 14 points.

The women are off now until next Wednesday when they host Corning CC at 5:30.
