Women Drop Two At Home Over The Weekend

SUNY Broome dropped a MSAC contest against Jefferson on Saturday and a Region III game against Hudson Valley on Sunday.  On Saturday the outside shooting of the Cannoneers proved to be to much for the Hornets, in all the visitors hit 11 3-pointers en route to the 70-37 win.  Julianna Mushalla led Broome with 14 points and Janasia Perkins added 10 points.  Sierra Fleming-Carlisle led Jefferson with 24 points, 15 of those coming by way of the 3-ball.

On Sunday Broome got out to an 11-2 first quarter lead and went into halftime down 17-15 against Hudson Valley.  The first half lead was opened up in the third quarter by a string of 3-pointers by the Viking's Hannah Kreiger to hand the Hornets the 58-33 home loss.  Broome was led by Ashley Sisson with 10 points followed by Janasia Perkins with 8 points, 5 boards and 4 assists.
