@ Finger Lakes

The Hornets opened up MSAC play with a 65-31 road win in Canandaigua against Finger Lakes CC on Thursday night.  Isabella LoVuolo hit a 3-pointer 17 seconds into the game for a lead Broome would keep throughout the contest. Five players would figure into the scoring in the 1st quarter en route to a 19-4 advantage for the visitors.  The second quarter saw the Lakers outscore the Hornets 11-7 but it wasn't enough to overcome the first quarter Hornet lead.

Broome came out in the 3rd quarter much the same way they started the game with Miya Ritchie striking first to lead all scorers with 7 points in the third frame.  The 4th quarter belonged to Anna Hotalen.  After a cold start Hotalen picked up 8 points in the fourth to finish the game with 11 points and 17 rebounds.

LoVuolo led all scoring with 21 points and, added 9 boards and 3 blocks to her totals.  Julianna Mushalla led in assists with 5, had 4 steals and 15 points in the winning effort.  Ritchie came off the bench to total 9 points and 4 steals in the contest.  Broome improved to 7-7 overall and 1-0 in the MSAC.

Up next is another road game on Saturday scheduled for a 12:00 P.M. tip-off in Dryden against Tompkins Cortland CC.
