The women's basketball team lost a MSAC game to Tompkins Cortland CC on Saturday by a score of 65-53.  Broome kept the game close in the first half, thanks in part to a Cassondra Raymond 3-pointer at the buzzer, and went into the half down by three. Raymond was one of four Hornets to score by way of the three-ball in the first 20 minutes of play.  Miya Ritchie and Kasey Krewson each had two, and Isabella LoVuolo put in one.

Broome kept the game within striking distance through the end of the third quarter, trailing 44-39, before Tompkins Cortland outscored the visitors 21-14 in the final quarter.  Ritchie scored a collegiate high 14 points to go along with her 3 assists and 3 steals.  Also reaching the double-digit mark were LoVuolo with 10 points and, Anna Hotalen posted another double-double with 12 points and 15 boards.  The Panthers saw all five starters in double figures, led by Taylor Day with 16 points.

The Hornets return home this coming Tuesday for a 5:30 MSAC contest against the NJCAA's 5th ranked Onondaga Lazers.
