Hornets Drop MSAC Contest On The Road

The Hornets fell to Corning CC, 53-34, on Wednesday night in a MSAC game played in Corning.  Broome failed to connect on 80% of their shots in the game, including a dismal 9.5% from beyond the arc. 

Anna Hotalen was the lone Hornet to reach the double-digit mark, scoring 11 points and pulling down 7 boards.  Julianna Mushalla and Miya Ritchie each produced 8 points in the game and Kasey Krewson added 7 points.  Ritchie also had 3 assists and 2 steals while backcourt mate, Mushalla added 3 steals in the losing effort.  The Red Barons saw three players with 10 or more points led by Breanna Palmatier's 12 points. 

The Hornets travel this weekend to Watertown on Saturday to face the Cannoneers of Jefferson CC at 1:00 P.M., and then to Troy on Sunday for a non-conference matchup against the Vikings of Hudson Valley, also starting @ 1:00 P.M.
