Balanced Effort Leads To Road Win

The women's basketball team defeated Cayuga CC in Auburn on Saturday, 74-62, in a MSAC contest that saw all Hornets in the scoring column.  Broome led the game at the end of one quarter, 18-11, and took a 39-21 lead into the half.  The Spartans kept the third quarter close and made a run in the fourth but the first half cushion was enough for the Hornets win.

Broome received double digit scoring from four out of their five starters, led by Miya Ritchie's 18 points, she also had 7 assists in the game, both collegiate highs.  Isabella LoVuolo notched a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds, and Anna Hotalen continued her streak of double-doubles with 14 points and 20 boards.  Julianna Mushalla also had 14 points to go with her 7 assists, and Kasey Krewson added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals. Cassondra Raymond came of the bench for 4 points and a rebound.

The Hornets will play host to the Red Barons from Corning in a pivitol MSAC matchup this Wednesday at 6:00 P.M.  This will be the third meeting between the two teams with the first two games going to Corning.
