Broome Falls To Division II Regional Champs On Road

The women's basketball team fell to last year's Division II Region III Champions, Niagara County CC, by a score of 97-46 on Saturday afternoon in Sanborn, NY.  The Thunderwolves got out to a 25-15 first quarter lead and never looked back.  The Hornets went cold in the second and third quarters, putting up 8 and 5 points respectively.

Calista Smith scored a collegiate best 16 points on 6-9 shooting, grabbed 8 boards and dished out a couple of assists.  Vivian Ladd was the only other Hornet in double digits with 10 points and led Broome in the assist department with 5.  

Up next is the Hornets fourth straight non-league road game this Wednesday in Wilkes-Barre, PA, scheduled for a 6:00 P.M. start against Penn State Wilkes-Barre.
