The Hornets fell to Region III opponent Mohawk Valley CC, 83-51, in Utica on Thursday night. Poor shooting and turnovers plagued Broome throughout game. The Hawks took a 20-8 first quarter lead and were never threatened in the contest by the visitors. Vivian Ladd led Broome in scoring with 12 points and Calista Smith chipped in with 10 points. The Hawks were led by Lyrik' Jackson with 21 points.
Up next is another Region III contest on Saturday scheduled for 1:00 P.M. against the Timberwolves from SUNY Adirondack.
