The women's lacrosse team fell to CCBC Essex 19-11 Sunday afternoon in Essex, MD. The Hornets were able to keep the contest close for the majority of the game before Essex pulled away late. Allison Ryan (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) led the scoring with 6 goals, Sarah Espe (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) added 4 goals and an assist, Kourtnie Gooding (Owego, NY/Owego Free Academy) had a goal and Laura Proctor (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) chipped in with an assist. Morgan Neville (Germantown, MD/Northwest) had 16 saves in net for SUNY Broome.
The Hornets will host Monroe CC this Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
