Women's Soccer Team Earns Second Shutout Of The Season

SUNY Broome women's soccer earned their second shutout of the season 11-0 with a convincing defensive game against Region III rival  Niagara County CC.  The defense allowed only two shots on the day behind the solid defense of Emily Caslin (Vestal, NY/Vestal), Emily Gibson ((Johnson City, NY/Seton Catholic) and Brittany Campbell (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) who have given up only 2 goals in 5 contests. The Hornets overwhelmed the Thunderwolves with a 47-2 shots on goal advantage and a 4-1 edge on corner kicks. Todays scoring leaders were Amanda Tersigni (Edmeston, NY/Edmeston) with 2 goals/2 assists, Alexa Rudilosso (Centereach, NY/Centereach) with 2 goals and Terry Peterson (Franklin, NY/Franklin) with 2 goals,  Other goals were scored by Nicole Harmer (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) 1 goal/1 assist, Rosemary Zelenyak (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) 1 goal/2 assists and Margaret Edwards (Brooklyn, NY/Leon M Goldstein HS for the Sciences) with a goal. 

The Hornets host another Region III contest against rival Mohawk Valley CC this Wednesday at 2:00 PM.
