The women's soccer team defeated Cayuga CC 5-0 in a MSAC contest in Auburn Wednesday afternoon to remain undefeated at 6-0. The scoring started in the 7th minute when Nicole Harmer (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) flicked a corner kick by Emily Cortese (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) which resulted in the first of two goals by Kaelyn Michitti (Binghamton, NY/Seton Catholic). A hat trick by Rosemary Zelenyak (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) with the last goal coming in the 63rd minute rounded out the scoring. The Hornets defense held the Spartans to just one shot on goal while the Hornets amassed 33 shots.
SUNY Broome's record stands at 6-0 Overall and 3-0 in the MSAC. The Hornets next play Monday at Alumni Field when they host Genesee CC at 4:00 P.M. in a matchup of the NJCAA's top ten teams.
