The women's soccer team hosted Tompkins Cortland CC tonight in a match for the MSAC Championship and came away with a 2OT 0-0 tie. Following the two 10 minute sudden death overtimes in which neither team could find the back of the net the Hornets and Panthers had to settle for a Co-Championship. The Hornets played an outstanding game at both ends of the field and outshot the Panthers 35-0 but could not net the winner, much of it attributable to Panther keeper Molly Graves who had 21 saves. Several close calls resulted in no goals.
The Hornets (13-1-2;5-0-1 MSAC) will be seeded second for the upcoming NJCAA Region III Division IIII Tournament. Broome earned a bye on Saturday and will host the winner of Hudson Valley/Onondaga on Tuesday.
