Women Cruise To 7th Shutout

Clinton CC hosted SUNY Broome on the campus at Plattsburgh State on Sunday in a Region III matchup and cruised to a 9-0 victory.  Jolene Krom recorded her 7th shutout in goal for the Hornets while the NJCAA's leading scorer, Kaelyn Michitti, scored her 5th hat trick of the season in the comfortable win. The Hornets (12-1) began the scoring in the 2nd minute when Allison O'Shea, 2 goals and 1 assist, received a crossing ball in the middle of the box from outside back Mikaela Mazerolle and finished it cleanly by Clinton's goal keeper Maggie Chauvin, who was forced to make 15 saves on the day.  Additional goals were scored by Mazerolle, Nicole Harmer, Megan Canzler and Marissa Michitti for an insurmountable lead. SUNY Broome's defense limited the Cougars (1-12) to zero shots, running their season total of holding teams to under two shots per game to seven.

The Hornets will host Hudson Valley CC on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in a Region III matchup played on Alumni Field.
