Women's Soccer Pick Up MSAC Win At Home

The soccer team defeated Jefferson CC 4-2 in a MSAC contest at home Wednesday afternoon.  Jordan McGinnis (Endwell/Maine-Endwell) got the home team started when she finished a cross at the six yard line by Marissa Michitti (Binghamton/Seton Catholic). Nine minutes later McKenna Williams (Chenango Forks, NY/Chenango Forks) scored a through ball from Mackensie Gravelin (Sidney, NY/Sidney).

Allison O'Shea (Marathon, NY/Marathon) finished her 11th and 12th goals of the season, both in the second half, from a pair of assists by Williams and Michitti.  Paige Finch Kirkwood, NY/Susquehanna Valley) earned the W in net for the host team with 3 saves on the day.  Zoe Stuckey had both second half goals for Jefferson.

Broome dominated in shots, 24-3 and held a slim 3-2 edge in corner kicks.

The Hornets improve to 6-1-1 on the season while the Cannoneers fall to 0-7.  Up next is a rare Friday night game under the lights in Herkimer, NY against the Generals beginning at 4:30 P.M.
