Broome suffered a 7-0 loss Friday  evening in Herkimer in a Region III soccer match against Herkimer College.  The Generals scored all 7 goals in the first half, four of them from Mikayla Bloomenstock and one each from Sarah George, Hailey Couchman and Caitlin Handy.  

The Hornets defense stiffened up in the second half and played the Generals even.  Broome had trouble generating any effective offense even though they worked their way in to the opponents 18 yard box several times in the half.  Jolene Krom (Sidney, NY/Sidney) had 3 saves as did Kara Knickerbocker (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) and Paige Finch (Kirkwood, NY/Susquehanna Valley) had 1 save.

The Hornets next travel to Syracuse for a MSAC soccer match against Onondaga CC beginning at 4:00 P.M. next Wednesday.
