The women's soccer team fell to Hudson Valley CC 4-0 in Troy on Wednesday night in a key Region III matchup.  After playing the Vikings (8-4) to a 0-0 tie in the first half, the Hornets (7-5-1) had trouble containing the host team in the second. 

Hudson Valley caught fire in the second period, scoring just three minutes in and continued the pressure that Broome had trouble overcoming.  Syndey Metzold scored 2 goals and, Sydney Burke and Kerri VanAusdle added a goal apiece for the Vikings.  The host team outshot the Hornets 20-7 and led in corners 7-2.  Kara Knickerbocker (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) was kept busy in goal with 15 saves.

Broome looks rebound this Saturday at noon when they host the Jayhawks of Jamestown CC in another Region III soccer match.
