Women Run Away In MSAC Win

The Hornets ran away with a win on Wednesday afternoon, defeating Cayuga CC 11-0 in a MSAC contest played on Alumni Field.  This is the Hornets sixth win in seven matches on the season and moved them to 3-0 in the MSAC while the Spartans fell to 0-2.  

Linsey Howell led the way with 3 goals and an assist followed by Katelynn Griffiths with 2 goals and 2 assists.  In all nine Hornets figured into the scoring with Mackensie Gravelin netting 2 and single goals by Hannah Faulkner, Chelsea Quail, Nicole Madison, Kayla Kromelbein and leading in assists was Jordan Gaisford with 4.  
 
Kara Knickerbocker earned her first win of the season in goal for Broome behind a defense that allowed no shots on goal.  The Hornets dominated the Spartans in shots on goal with a season high 44.
 
The Hornets are now off until next week when they travel to Watertown to take on Jefferson CC next Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. for another MSAC match up.
