The women's soccer team defeated the St. John Fisher JVs 2-0 in a non-regional match on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field.  The first half was an end to end battle until Katelynn Griffiths scored for the Hornets in the 41st minute off a beautifully angled through ball from Daniella Ricci giving the Hornets the 1-0 lead and ultimately the game winner.

The game settled as SUNY Broome took control and held the ball for long periods of time, producing several good chances, but the game stood at 1-0 until the 72nd minute when Hannah Faulkner collected a rebound off a Chelsea Quail shot and buried for the decisive 2-0 final.  Paige Finch had 3 saves in net for the Hornets to pick up her 8th win on the year.

Broome returns to Alumni Field this Wednesday for a MSAC match against rival Onondaga CC scheduled to begin at 4:00 P.M.
