Women Rebound In Plattsburgh

Broome rebounded with a 3-0 win over Clinton CC in Plattsburgh on Sunday to improve to 10-4 overall.   The Hornets, playing their third game on the road in five days, picked up their seventh shutout with two regular season games remaining.  The first half ended in a 0-0 stalemate as the Hornets had 11 shots but failed to find the back of the net.
 
The first, and winning goal, was scored in the 52nd minute when Linsey Howell scored from the top of the box unassisted.  Howell followed up with another goal in the 73rd minute finishing a cross from Nicole MadisonKayla Kromelbein got the third and final goal in the 79th minute when she snuck deep into the box to receive a through ball from Howell and promptly netted the ball.
 
The Hornets will be back in action on Alumni Field when they host MSAC foe Tompkins Cortland CC at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 17th.
