Broome closed out their regular season home schedule with a 6-1 MSAC victory over Tompkins Cortland CC on Wednesday afternoon. Ten players figured in the scoring with 6 goals and 6 assists on the day. Katelynn Griffiths led off the scoring on the sophomore recognition day in the 15th minute, when Kayla Kromelbein slotted a perfect thru ball which Griffiths netted. Linsey Howell led all scorers with 2 goals on the day followed by Griffiths, Nicole Madison, Paige Finch, and Hannah Faulkner with one goal apiece.
SUNY Broome improved to 11-4 on the season; 5-1 MSAC while the Panthers fell to 3-8-2 overall.
The Hornets travel to Batavia this Saturday for a match against the NJCAA's #4 Genesee CC to finish the regular season. Broome will also qualify for the Region III Tournament, beginning next Tuesday, for the 22nd straight year.
