Broome traveled to Auburn on Wednesday night for a MSAC matchup against Cayuga CC and earned their third shutout, defeating the Spartans 10-0.  The Hornets started early and scored often when Hannah Faulkner led off with a finish of a through ball from Luccia Martucci in the second minute, one of three goals (1:20, 20:45, 72:40) Faulkner would get on the evening.  In the 12th minute Linsey Howell scored the first of her four goals (11:27, 21:51, 23:13 and 74:20) by finishing a through ball from Kayla Kromelbein for her biggest scoring night of the season.  Adding to the total was a goal unassisted at 27:10 by Kromelbein, an unassisted goal at 79:45 by Karlee Howell and a 10th and final goal at 86:15 by Katelynn Griffiths assisted by goalkeeper Leria Compeau.  The Hornets had much of the possession on the night aided by a stellar defense which allowed zero shots.

Broome improved to 3-2 while the Spartans fell to 0-3.  Up next is another MSAC matchup next Wednesday on Alumni Field against Jefferson CC scheduled for a 2:00 P.M. kickoff.
