Broome won their third straight match by defeating Erie CC 6-0 in a Region III soccer match played on Alumni Field Saturday afternoon. Linsey Howell finished a cross from Katelynn Griffiths in the 27th minute to score her first of two goals on the day. Kayla Kromelbein followed with a rocket from deep at 34:11 to make the score 2-0. Griffiths second goal came from a feed from Kromelbein to make it 3-0 at the half.
The Hornets dominated again in the second half, netting three more goals. The first goal came in the 55th minute courtesy of Daisy Allen when she buried a beautiful cross from Alissa Franco. Griffiths second goal came in the 84th minute and Howell followed up with her second less than 2 minutes later.
The Hornets solid defense held the Kats to just two shots on the day to record their 5th shutout of the season. Broome improved to 7-3 while Erie fell to 4-5.
The Hornets are off until next Saturday when they return to Alumni Field and host Jamestown CC at 1:00 P.M.
