Women Make It Five Straight

Broome traveled to the campus of St. John Fisher on Monday afternoon to challenge the Cardinal JV team in a non-region contest and came out on top 3-1.   After a back and forth first half that saw both teams fighting for chances, the halftime score was 0-0.
 
The Hornets gave up the first goal in the 62nd minute before they buckled down and took over the game.   Center midfielder, Chloe Brauer evened the score in the 74th minute from a corner kick by Linsey Howell.  Three minutes later Hannah Faulkner got the game winner from a though ball by Daisy Allen, aided by Jennica Michitti.   In the 89th minute Linsey Howell put the finishing touches on the game by finishing a thorough ball by Brauer.  The defense of the Hornets held the Cardinals to just five shots to solidify the win.
 
The Hornets are now 9-3 overall; 3-1 MSAC and return to conference play on Wednesday in Dryden for a 4:00 P.M. match against Tompkins Cortland CC.
