The women's tennis team opened up the season with a 9-0 sweep over Onondaga CC on Tuesday afternoon in Syracuse, NY.

5. Olivia Borihane (Broome) def. Julianne Copes-Banks 6-1, 6-0

2. Secord/Tassey (Broome) def. Broga/Gould (OCC) 8-1

Broome's two returning players Mott and Secord earned their first victory of the year without losing a game. O'Geen also earned her first collegiate tennis victory without losing a game. Tassey, Borihane and Senat also earned their first collegiate tennis victory. The Hornets also swept doubles, only dropping 3 games in three matches.
Broome will travel to Troy, NY this Thursday for a 4:00 p.m. tennis match against Hudson Valley CC.
