The Hornets swept Hudson Valley CC today 9-0 to earn their second team win of the season in Troy on Sunday.  Shyanne Daye (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley), playing at number 1 singles and Emily Whitaker (Vestal, NY/Vestal), at number 4 singles, both won today in lopsided fashion to earn their first singles win of the season. Number 2 singles Madison Murphy (Clay, NY/Cicero-North), and number 5 singles Kara Shanks (Erie, PA/McDowell), both won their second match of the season extending their record to 2-1 in singles play. Chelsea Deuel (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton), at number 3 singles remains undefeated (3-0) in singles play after winning a tightly contested match. Duel also remains undefeated in doubles (3-0) with her partner Whitaker after their 8-6 doubles victory.
