Volleyball Goes 2-1 In Dryden

The women's volleyball team went 2-1 on Saturday at Tompkins Cortland CC's POD in Dryden, NY to improve to 9-4 on the year. 

The first match of the day was a sweep against Herkimer County CC 25-15, 25-11, 25-13. Match leaders were Ashleen Speen (Vestal, NY/Vestal) 15 kills, Paige Redmond (Sidney, NY/Sidney) 28 assists, Marisa Tubaugh (Windsor, NY/Windsor) 12 digs, Speen 2 blocks, Miranda Green (Glen Aubrey, NY/Maine Endwell) 2 aces.

In the second match of the day the Hornets were swept by Fulton-Montgomery CC 14-25, 17-25, 21-25.  Match leaders were Speen 12 kills, 11 digs, 1 ace, 17 assists and Maddison VanEtten (Port Crane, NY/Harpursville) 2 blocks.

In the final match of the day Broome swept Mohawk Valley CC 25-18, 25-10, 25-16. Match leaders were Speen 18 kills, Redmond 27 assists, Ashleigh Nelson (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) 9 digs, Shelby Pettersen (Deposit, NY/Deposit Central) 1 block, Speen 7 aces.

Volleyball will travel to Jefferson CC on Wednesday for a MSAC matchup starting at 6:00 p.m.
