SUNY Broome improved their record to 11-6 this weekend at the Columbia-Greene POD tournament. They had two straight set wins against Hudson Valley CC and Columbia-Greene CC before falling to SUNY Adirondack.  Set scores against Hudson Valley 28-26, 25-20, 25-23. Match leaders for the Hornets were Kills - Ashleen Speen 10; Assists - Shelby Pettersen 32; Digs - Ashleigh Nelson 13; Blocks - Da'che Robinson 2; Aces - Speen 9. Set scores against Columbia Greene were 25-16, 25-11, 25-18. Speen had 10 kills, Pettersen adding 22 assists. Marisa Tubaugh (Windsor, NY/Windsor) had 10 digs while Robinson had 2 blocks. Maddison VanEtten (Port Crane, NY/Harpursville) added 5 aces. The final match was dropped to Adirondack, the defending champs, 0-3 with set scores of 25-13, 25-8, 25-17. 

The Hornets will host Finger Lakes CC this Wednesday in the West Gym at 6:00 p.m.
