The volleyball team split their matches today losing to SUNY Delhi in three and defeating Penn State Hazelton in three. In the first match against the Broncos the Hornets lost 25-14, 25-19, 25-18 then followed that up by sweeping Penn State Hazelton 25-6, 25-9, 25-10.
In the first match against SUNY Delhi Melissa Alden (Warner Robins, Ga/Northside) had 6 kills, Sarah Raichlin (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) added 19 assists, Marisa Tubaugh (Windsor, NY/Windsor) chipped in with 12 digs, Rachel Ballard (Harpursville, NY/Harpursville) blocked 2 balls and Shelby Pettersen (Deposit, ny/Deposit Central) rounded out the stat lines with 1 ace. Against Penn State Hazelton Alden again had 6 kills and added a block, Raichlin had one less assist with 18, Tubaugh had 11 digs and Pettersen had 9 aces.
The Hornets (2-2) will host Onondaga CC this Wednesday in the West Gym at 6:00 PM.
