The volleyball team swept Davis College tonight in the West Gym in a non-conference contest. Tonight marked the last home match for three sophomores. Prior to the match Coach Maegen Eddinger took time to acknowledge the efforts of her second year players, Marisa Tubaugh (Windsor, NY/Windsor), VanEtten and Pettersen.
The Hornets won by set scores of 25-19, 25-11, 25-7. Stat leaders for the match were Tiffany Ostrom (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) with 8 kills and 5 aces, Sarah Raichlin (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) had 24 assists, Shelby Pettersen (Deposit, NY/Deposit Central) added 4 digs and Maddison VanEtten (Port Crane, NY/Harpursville) added 1 block.
Broome (14-9;4-2 MSAC) will travel to Syracuse this weekend to play in the Cara Bryant Tournament hosted by Onondaga CC.
