The volleyball team played in day one of the Cara Bryant Invitational in Syracuse Friday evening hosted by Onondaga CC and went 1-1. The Hornets were swept in the first match by SUNY Delhi set scores were 19-25 17-25. Broome rebounded in the second match with a sweep of their own over Cayuga CC by set scores of 25-17 25-11. Stat leaders in day one of the tournament were Maddison VanEtten (Port Crane, NY/Harpursville) with 8 kills, Marisa Tubaugh (Windsor, NY/Windsor) had 17 digs and 3 aces, Sarah Raichlin (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) had 33 assists and Melissa Alden (Warner Robbins, GA/Northside) added 9 blocks.
