The volleyball team defeated Mohawk Valley 3-0, lost to Fulton-Montgomery 0-3 and won their last match 3-0 against Herkimer College on Saturday in Corning.
In the first match the Hornets defeated the Hawks by set scores of 25-18, 25-9, 25-13. Stat leaders were:
Kills - Sarah Bobier 9
Assists - Paige Redmond 19
Aces - Chase Page 3
Blocks - Hannah Lazarus 5
Digs - Lauren Carpenter 30
In the second match the Hornets lost to the Raiders by set scores of 17-25, 18-25, 24-26. Stat leaders were:
Kills - Madison Delaney-Hammond 13
Assists - Paige Redmond 16
Aces - Rachel Mattson 3
Blocks - Hannah Lazarus 6
Digs - Lauren Carpenter 22
In the last match of the day the Hornets swept the Generals by set scores of 25-23, 25-19, 25-18 Stat leaders were:
Kills - Rachel Mattson 9
Assists - Madison Delaney-Hammond 22
Aces - Rachel Ballard 2
Blocks - Hannah Lazarus 8
Digs - Lauren Carpenter 30
SUNY Broome is now 9-2 on the season and their next match is on the road this Wednesday against Jefferson CC in Watertown at 6:00 p.m.
