SUNY Broome defeated #1 seed Jefferson CC this afternoon 3-2 to become the MSAC Champions. The Hornets (22-9) topped Finger Lakes CC 3-1 in the semi-final match played at noon. Broome lost to Jefferson in their three previous meetings this year. Broome pulled off the win in a tight five set match to win the championship by set scores of 14-25, 25-23, 18-25, 25-20, 15-13.

This is the first time since 2002 that Broome has brought home the volleyball conference championship.
Next weekend, Broome travels to the NJCAA Region III Tournament in Buffalo hosted by Niagara County CC where they are the #6 seed.
