Volleyball Opens Season With A Win

SUNY Broome volleyball kicked off their season on the road with a win against Cayuga Community College Tuesday night  in Auburn.  After dropping the first two sets 20-25, 27-29, the team rallied to win the next three 25-21, 25-14, 15-8.

Returning for her sophomore season, Taylor Hessler (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) totaled 28 assists during the match while returner Lauren Carpenter (Vestal, NY/Maine-Endwell) led the teams defense with 32 digs. Newcomer, Rayna Pouliot (Syracuse, NY/Onondaga) added to the defense another 27 digs.  Leading the offense, Kaitlin Manley (Willet, NY/Cincinnatus) contributed 12 kills and 16 blocks.

Broome faces Corning CC on Wednesday at home at 5:)) P.M. in the West Gym.
